Ken Hayward - Chief Technology Officer Ken Hayward has 20 years experience in the regulated software and document management industries. With extensive knowledge of compliance related technologies and the business problems they solve, Ken has designed software systems for regulated companies since the early 1980s. Originally a client before joining QUMAS in 2002, Ken worked with the London International Group, Kinesis Systems and PriceWaterHouse Coopers.
Kevin O'Leary - Chief Executive Officer Kevin O'Leary has been with QUMAS since its inception and was responsible for the original design and development of the company's first product release. Kevin has worked within regulated industries since 1987 and has extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance solutions. He established the company's presence in the United States in 1997 and now serves as the company's chief executive officer. Having originally majored in computer science, Kevin pursued further studies in industrial management and now works closely with regulators and industry organizations to ensure that QUMAS solutions meet the compliance needs of regulated companies.
Paul W. Hands - Founder and Chairman Paul Hands is a successful business graduate and entrepreneur with more than 25 years experience in the technology sector. He is recognized for an outstanding mix of strategic vision, global management skills and the proven ability to scale a business across several continents.
Paul has founded a number of technology companies in Ireland, including QCL (acquired by Calyx in 2003) and QUMAS (Irish Software Association Company of the Year 2006), and recently assumed the position of chairman of the board.
Paul has completed funding rounds over the past decade with Delta Partners, ACT Venture Capital, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Accenture Technology Ventures, Bank of Ireland Venture Capital, AIB Venture Capital, General Catalyst (Boston), Fidelity Ventures, Business Expansion Schemes and Enterprise Ireland.
2008 sees Paul involved in a number of business ventures including the Chamber of Commerce in his native city of Cork.
Doreen Freeman - Vice President of Human Resources Doreen Freeman brings 20 years of successful experience in Human Resources Management in leading global companies in a number of industries – Life Sciences, Electronics, Food and Public Sector. As a senior executive she has been instrumental in developing business strategy at both operational and strategic levels resulting in leading edge practices within those organizations. She now holds responsibility for Global Human Resource Management for all QUMAS operations and is based in Cork, Ireland.
Doreen holds an MSc in Change Management, Diploma in Management and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel & Development of which she is an active Committee member.
Joanne Morrissey - Vice President of Quality and CRM Joanne Morrissey has 10 years experience in the regulated software industry. Joanne has extensive knowledge in the definition and implementation of Quality Management Systems. As a senior executive she has been instrumental in the creation of an effective Software Product Development Methodology which supports business needs and provides QUMAS with a competitive edge in product development. Joanne is responsible for Quality at both a strategic and operational level. Having initially graduated in computer science, Joanne pursued further studies in quality management & regulations.
Donal O'Brien - VP Development and Support
Donal O'Brien, VP Development and Support, is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the QUMAS product development and product support activities. O'Brien has over twenty years experience in the development and implementation of software systems, in a number of industry sectors including Life Sciences and Financial Services.
Before coming to QUMAS O'Brien worked in and provided consultancy services to regulated companies within Life Sciences.
O'Brien holds a Bsc in Computer Science and a Masters in Business Administration.
Brian D. Stack - Chief Financial Officer Brian Stack became Chief Financial Officer for QUMAS in 2007. Having returned home to his native Cork and working from the Company's headquarters in Cork, Brian is responsible for all financial matters impacting the Company. With a strong background in Finance and Strategy, Brian also has direct management experience in Information Risk Management and Technology Consulting and in managing new business ventures and strategic investments including the acquisition and integration of Software and Service companies of various sizes.
While living in the United States for almost 20 years, Brian previously held CFO roles at two separate international organizations and most recently worked for Accenture's NY and London offices.
Brian is a Certified Public Accountant and received his MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, Executive MBA program in 2003.
Caoimhe Kiely - Vice President of Marketing Caoimhe Kiely joined QUMAS in March 2003 and is Vice President of Marketing, responsible for marketing strategy and leading the marketing organization. Since joining QUMAS, Caoimhe has been instrumental in positioning QUMAS as a leader in Compliance Management.
Prior to joining QUMAS, Caoimhe served as Executive Program Manager with SmartForce (now Skillsoft), a leading e-learning company. In this role, Caoimhe was responsible for the delivery of Enterprise Learning Management Systems to many regulated industries, including Life Sciences and Financial Services. Previously Caoimhe has worked with the Irish Electoral Returning Officer on National Election organization and with the Examinations Office in University College Dublin. Caoimhe has a Masters Degree in Political Science from University College Dublin.
Sefton Cohen - Vice President of Global Sales Sefton Cohen joined QUMAS in July 2007 as Vice President of Global Sales. In this position, he is responsible for setting the company global sales strategies, as well as leading QUMAS’s rapidly growing sales organization.
Throughout Cohen’s more than 17 years of enterprise-technology sales and executive management experience, he has played a pivotal role in launching and growing sales organizations to create value in new markets. Prior to joining QUMAS, he held several sales leadership roles at OpenPages, where he was responsible for driving growth in the company’s Governance Risk and Compliance product portfolio. Previously, he held several senior sales and management positions at a number of leading enterprise software vendors including: Vignette Corporation, DYS Analytics and Comdisco.
Cohen holds a MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Franklin and Marshall College.
Sean Winslow - Vice President of Professional Services Sean Winslow has served QUMAS since 2001 in several professional service roles and is responsible for many of the implementation methodologies used by QUMAS, our client-base, and regulated environment world-wide. In his position, Sean is responsible for setting the company global service strategies, as well as leading the QUMAS Professional Services Team in developing scalable, repeatable, compliant implementation methods.
Winslow has over 20 years experience implementing document/records management and process management software in regulated industries. Prior to joining QUMAS, Sean had successfully managed implementations at tier-1 companies like Bank One, Telkom S.A., Hoffman-LaRoche and many others.
Sean holds a B.S. in Business Management from Rutgers University School of Business and is a 10 year serving member with the Project Management Institute.
